Our Approach
Based on the ethos of the International Baccalaureate, our approach nurtures students' unique strengths for a successful future and fosters curiosity, instills a love of learning and develops open-mindedness.
- RIS Rome is an International Baccalaureate World School
- RIS is the only school in Rome authorised to offer both the IB Primary Years Programme for ages 3 to 11 and the IB Diploma Programme for ages 16 to 18
- A rich middle school (ages 12 to 14) curriculum leading to the Cambridge IGCSE (ages 14 to 16), provides the consistency of a true international education.
Through an active, inquiry-based learning approach, we teach students to think for themselves and to understand the significance of what they are learning in global and local contexts.
Being a member of the Globeducate network brings plenty of benefits to our community. From a transformative STEAM programme using LEGO® Education Resources to a sustainability education partnership with WWF, our students have diverse opportunities to take learning beyond the classroom, and make connections with the world around them.
