A big well done to our CAS student for their outstanding efforts in organising a clean-up event over the weekend at Ponte Milvio!
On Sunday 17 November 2024, our incredible Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students took part in a meaningful beach cleanup in Ostia, partnering with the amazing team at PlasticFree.it.
RIS had the pleasure of welcoming eco-delegates from our sister school as part of a vibrant exchange fostering sustainable education.
Years 12 and 13 and some teachers gathered at the Colosseum on 21st Saturday to partake in World Cleanup Day celebrated a day before.
As part of our ongoing efforts to work with our local community, students and families are invited to sign up and join Mr Hough, and a group of high school students, at the World Cleanup Day Event in Ciampino on 21 September from 09:30am in the morning.
On the 7th of June, RIS Rome embraced Wear it Wild Day, organised by Globeducate in partnership with the WWF, to raise awareness about endangered species. Students and teachers dressed as their favourite animals, wore animal prints, or donned colours reflecting the Earth, creating a wild atmosphere.
Every year, Year 4 participates in ‘Skype a Scientist’ during their How the World Works unit of inquiry. The online meetings with scientists help the students learn from experts in their field and take their learning beyond the four walls of the classroom.
We were delighted to host the Little Reader Library for a charming book fair on April 23 and 24, as part of our International Book Day celebrations at RIS Rome International School.
At RIS, we are committed to fostering environmental awareness and sustainability. This Earth Day, we are proud to be taking part in various initiatives to promote eco-consciousness and inspire our students to become responsible stewards of our planet.
