Wall Street Journal Editor-in-Chief Inspires Year 12
Year 12 IB students recently had a unique opportunity to take part in a guest talk with Ms. Emma Tucker, Editor-in-Chief of The Wall Street Journal.
Rome International School Prefects were well prepared for the occasion, asking insightful questions about her background, inspirations and how to navigate today's increasingly interconnected world.
As a former IB student herself, Ms. Tucker provided a candid and impactful perspective on what it takes to lead at the highest level. She spoke about how critical thinking and the daily habit of reading trustworthy news can provide a vital competitive advantage in today's complex information landscape. Crucially, she spoke to the importance of the IB value of balance, advising students to work hard while prioritising self-care and time with loved ones. Her message was clear: have confidence in your voice, embrace new technologies responsibly, and never be afraid to ask for help.
An inspirational afternoon that helped broaden our students' horizons. Thank you Ms. Tucker!
