Transition Progress Inquiry Into Lifecycles
Transition is in "full growth mode" as we explore the Life Cycle! This week, we bridged the gap between literacy and nature by bringing our unit poem to life in the school garden.
With trowels in hand, the students put poetry into practice:
"A little seed for me to sow, A little soil to make it grow, A little sun, a little water, A little while—and then, a flower!"
After sowing our seeds and providing that first drink of water, we’ve become dedicated caretakers. We already have plans to return to the garden to check on our seeds and see how they are growing.

Back in the classroom, the inquiry continues through the visual arts. We are currently crafting beautiful seed mosaics of a seedling. By handling various seeds to create these masterpieces, students are observing the diverse textures and shapes that hold the potential for new life. It’s been a wonderful week of watching our knowledge—and our garden—take root!
