Building Greener Futures: RIS Welcomes Delegates from Mougins British International School for a Sustainability Exchange

On Tuesday 18 November, RIS had the pleasure of welcoming eco-delegates from our sister school as part of a vibrant exchange fostering sustainable education. For over seven years, RIS has proudly led initiatives aligned with the Eco-School program, actively involving students, parents, and staff to create a greener, more sustainable future.

Our visitors were warmly greeted and immediately immersed in collaborative activities, emphasising practical environmental stewardship. The RIS Eco Council together with the students from “Ambassadors of Tomorrow,” shared highlights from their renowned sustainability projects. One of the highlights was the joint trash collection around the campus, co-tending the freshly planted winter vegetable garden alongside younger students, and exchanging innovative ideas while enjoying snacks and refreshments.

The exchange demonstrated RIS’s commitment to sustainability at the same time inspiring new strategies for collaboration within the Globedcuate family. Beyond the eco-focused agenda, our guests had the chance to explore Rome’s rich cultural heritage, including the iconic Colosseum and the Sistine Chapel, enhancing the experience with a cultural experience.

We are so proud of the enthusiasm with which our Eco Council represented our school. This was an enriching experience for all involved. Our students are part of a global community of changemakers: shaping a future where diversity, empathy and sustainability thrive.
