Student Leadership Reflections

"The leadership summit was an amazing experience that provided me with a chance to grow both personally and as part of a team. Over the course of the two days, I gained a deeper understanding of the importance of team building and how effective communication is for strong leadership.

The activities and discussions challenged me to think critically about my own leadership style and helped me develop skills that I can apply in the future. One of the highlights of the summit was the opportunity to connect with people from around the world, including participants from Spain and England. Hearing their unique perspectives and working collaboratively in groups was incredibly enlightening. It gave me insight into different approaches to problem solving, which was both inspiring. Overall, the leadership summit was a rewarding experience that taught me valuable lessons about teamwork, communication, and leadership. It was a privilege to take part in such a meaningful event."

I have always believed that I could lead a group of people, perhaps due to my very extroverted personality, or due to the excitement I get when speaking to a large group of people. This summit was for me the certainty I needed to start believing that maybe I can be a leading force of positive change. In fact thanks to the Summit I understood parts of my personal identity which I did not completely understand before.

For example my tendency of doing all the work, of being very decisive and coordinating, which I have always considered as my flaws, are instead my strength. Yes, since if I can use these skills of a "shapper" type of leader in the right moments, quantity and moderation they can become my biggest asset. I learned that I still have much to develop and learn about leadership; however I am excited more than ever to develop all the qualities of a great leader.

This summit opened my eyes to what my extroverted personality, my joy of leading people and public speaking, if developed, can help me to make a true and meaningful positive change to the society we live in.

I realised that I have a gift which I now understand how to use, in order to make a change, which is a goal of mine which I always have with me in everything I do.’
