In November 2025, RIS Senior IB students - Romualdo and Evelin - joined 40 other student leaders from 15 Globeducate schools across Canada, France, Italy, the UK, Spain, Portugal in Cyprus for the Annual Student Leadership Summit. This was an enriching experience for our young leaders to make connections beyond the classroom.
Romualdo and Evelin had an amazing opportunity to connect with peers from around the world - build friendships, explore culture, and discover what it truly means to lead with purpose. Through workshops on leadership in action, quiet leadership, storytelling, and collaboration, these young change makers are preparing to shape a better world.

Spending a week in Cyprus for the School Leadership Summit was an unforgettable experience that helped me grow both personally and as a leader. Throughout the Summit, I learned that leadership isn’t just about taking charge, it’s about listening, collaborating, and inspiring others to reach their potential. Working with students from different schools and cultures broadened my perspective and showed me how diverse approaches to leadership can create stronger teams.

During this experience of the Leadership Summit, I learned a lot; this includes how to be a leader, what kind of leader I am, and how to guide a group toward achieving a great result. This summit was not only about developing leadership skills but also about growing personally and connecting with others. It was really good to see how everyone brought their own ideas and strengths to the group, to achieve a goal. I’ve also learned how to express my opinions clearly, listen to others, and work together to find a better solution. Through the activities and teamwork, I realised that leadership is not just about giving instructions but it’s about communication and cooperation but the most important is empathy and it should be honest with your group members. Overall, the Globeducate Leadership Summit was an unforgettable experience that helped me grow as both a person and a leader. I left with new friendships, valuable skills, and confidence.
