Kindergarten Adventures: Art, Nature & Stone Soup!

Since we have come back from the Winter break we have hit the ground running in Kindergarten. We have been learning about winter by expressing how some trees are leafless at this time of year and this has allowed us many opportunities to express ourselves as artists.

We have continued to explore our skills in art by beginning our exploration of our chosen artist Kandinsky. Working with lines and circles using different mediums and skills.

We have been able to explore the woods and found it carpeted with leaves which meant we could make piles and jump into them.

Another element of our unit of inquiry is how to feel good and during winter what we eat is very important. This led us to the story ‘Stone Soup’ and we cooked our own wonderful vegetable ‘Stone soup’.
