Food Festival Fiesta: Year 4 Serves Up Global Learning!

Our Year 4 students literally cooked up their Unit of Inquiry recently with an incredible International Food Festival. This was more than a feast; it was a vibrant, delicious explosion of culture. By organising, presenting, and tasting diverse cuisines, students didn't just study connections—they experienced them, advancing their understanding through their senses.

I loved the International Food Festival, in particular, I loved that everyone enjoyed eating my pao de queijo. I think that everyone had scrumptious dishes.”

  • Gabriel, Y4D

"I loved the International Food Festival because everyone was having fun and enjoying different food. I liked that everyone loved my lasagna.”

  • Lavinia, Y4D

I loved the International Food Festival because we ate so many different foods, some we liked, some we didn’t. Most of them tasted soooo good.”

  • Malak, Y4D

“I didn’t like this food festival, I LOVED it! Most of the food was pretty good and they all tasted different and they were all unique.”

  • Nadia, Y4D

A big well done to the students (and the parents who joined the celebration!) for their contributions to this sensory-rich learning experience.
