Supporting e-mobility and a zero emission future

The Middle and High School Eco Council has kicked off a new wonderful project with the help of some special guests!

It was a very exciting week for RIS students in Year 10 to Year 12, especially on Wednesday during Form Time, when we welcomed Mr Fabio Romano, a senior representative from Jaguar Land Rover Italy and his team, for an assembly that aimed to raise awareness of the role that younger generations can play in accelerating the transformation to e-mobility and move towards a zero emission future.

"Today was a great opportunity to truly feel the future and combine our learning with real-life issues in an engaging and interesting way." Margherita, Year 12 student

“We had the amazing opportunity to have Jaguar Land Rover come to our school. All of us, the Eco Council team and RIS students, were engaged in the assembly. Through the information stands that were in school,  we could take part in the e-mobility quiz, which aimed to address common misconceptions on the topic. It was certainly an unforgettable day, and we are sure the upcoming competitions will be even more exciting!” Maria Flor S. Year 11 student

Students are now participating in a competition by creating media memes via their personal Instagram - reels, memes, stories - and  tagging @jaguar_landrover_education in their stories! Three fortunate students will win tickets for the Formula-E taking place in Rome on 8th and 9th April.

Phase 2 of this e-mobility project will kick-off after the Spring holidays. More information will be shared by the Eco Council and the winners of this next phase will be able to participate in Jaguar Land Rover Italia's Leadership Academy in Bologna. Stay tuned!
