ECA and Enrichment Programme 2026-27!

Here at RIS, our enrichment programme is organised into several key areas to provide greater choice, flexibility, and depth of experience:

Middle School Enrichment Programme
Wednesday Afternoons | 13:55–15:45

All Middle School students will participate in a dedicated weekly Enrichment Programme on Wednesday afternoons. This exciting initiative allows students to explore areas of personal interest in greater depth while developing important life skills such as teamwork, leadership, creativity, resilience and communication.

Students will select a specialist pathway and engage in focused learning experiences across the block. Available pathways include:

  • Sports
  • Creative & Performing Arts
  • Robotics & Coding
  • Model United Nations (MUN)
  • Duke of Edinburgh International Award (DofE)

The programme will operate across two enrolment periods:

Block 1: 21 September – 18 December 2026
Block 2: 7 January – 18 June 2027

Enrichment Clubs (No Charge)

A range of teacher-led enrichment clubs will be offered during lunchtimes and after school. These clubs are designed around student interests and provide opportunities for students to pursue hobbies, develop new skills and engage with the wider RIS community.

RIS Sports Academy (Academy fee)

High School students will have the opportunity to join the RIS Sports Academy and benefit from focused training and development in:

  • Volleyball
  • Basketball
  • Football

Students will participate in regular training sessions at lunchtime and after school, and have opportunities to represent RIS in friendly and competitive fixtures against schools in Rome and potentially further afield.

The Sports Academy fee (60 euros per sport) contributes towards personalised team kit, referees, competition entry fees and fixture organisation.

After-School Activities (Paid)

Our expanded programme includes a wide range of after-school clubs across sport, creative arts, technology, languages, wellbeing, and academic enrichment. These clubs provide students with the opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing talents, and enjoy new experiences in a fun and supportive environment.

Activities will run across two enrolment periods:

Block 1: 21 September – 18 December 2026
Block 2: 7 January – 18 June 2027

Specialist Courses (Paid)

We are also pleased to continue offering specialist programmes including:

LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art)

Students can work towards internationally recognised qualifications in public speaking, acting, and performance.

Private Music Tuition

Individual lessons are available for students of all ages in:

  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Drums

Lessons can be scheduled during the school day or after school.
