Duke of Edinburgh International Award Students Are Making a Difference, One Beach at a Time!

On Sunday 17 November 2024, our incredible Duke of Edinburgh’s Award students took part in a meaningful beach cleanup in Ostia, partnering with the amazing team at PlasticFree.it.

As part of their volunteering efforts, these dedicated young people were absolutely supercharged to make an impact—leaving no scrap of paper, bottle, or piece of plastic behind. Their passion, teamwork, and commitment to creating a cleaner planet are truly inspiring.

Head of School Corina Rader said, “It was amazing to see how the local community who saw us picking up garbage from the beach started to also take part in our event. Even a group of inspired youth were so excited to help us out, they quickly started to participate in the clean up event. Together we are truly empowering a global community of changemakers so we can better shape the future.
