Culture, Community, and Connection at RIS

Our Chinese language students brought learning to life through a vibrant dumpling-making workshop,  a true celebration of the IB value of international-mindedness in action.

In a wonderful collaboration with our Arabic Department, students shared traditions, stories and symbols of prosperity and good fortune, while also looking ahead to the meaningful start of Ramadan. 🌙

Moments like these reflect our mission: nurturing globally minded learners who recognise our common humanity and grow through cultural exchange. Seeing our students lead with confidence, creativity, and collaboration is a powerful reminder that diversity is our strength and connection is at the heart of our community.

Participants described the experience as “enjoyable and educational” — exactly the kind of authentic, student-driven learning that defines the RIS experience.
