Year 9 students recently completed their final project based on the murder mystery novel The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time written by British writer Mark Haddon.
Every student was given a different option to explore for their research. Some students focused on language, context, main characters and secondary characters, and others on Asperger's syndrome, the theory of Multiple Intelligences developed by Dr. Howard Gardener as well as finding similarities between the novel and The Hound of Baskervilles by Arthur Conan Doyle. Furthermore, six students from both classes wrote their own book reviews, which you can read by clicking on the links below.
This project stimulated students' creative and critical thinking skills which helped shape their final reflections on the novel they read - whether it was positive or negative.
The classes shared their knowledge through presenting and engaging with an audience made up of Year 7 and Year 13 students, as shown in these photos.
