Rome International School is proudly sponsoring the restoration of ancient armour and weapons originating from different areas in Italy, between the 4th and 6th centuries B.C. For the first time, these parts will be assembled to become one whole suit of armour that shows what a warrior's 'ideal' armour could have been. This unique installation forms one part of the 75 recovered items that will go on display from 9 March, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT) and the Comando Carabinieri Tutela Patrimonio Culturale. The inauguration of the exhibition will be held on the afternoon of Thursday 9 March (timing TBC). If you'd like to attend the ceremony, please RSVP to the School Office.
Special guests including, Commander of the Comando Carabinieri Tutela Patrimonio Culturale, General Fabrizio Parrulli; Director General of LUISS Guido Carli University, Giovanni Lo Storto, the Scientific Director of the Exhibition, Roberto Di Paola; and representatives from MiBACT, will contribute to this special event.
