Parent Teacher Association

Rome International School’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is widely engaged in raising funds, organising charity partners, planning events, helping new families integrate and generally building the sense of community at RIS.

Rome International School's families and staff are members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and receive regular news and information on initiatives and upcoming events.

For the 2018/19 academic year, the PTA will be supporting and helping to improve the lives of children in Italy, Peru and East Africa via three charity organisations: Adotta Un Angelo, Amani, and MVC Onlus.

Fundraising is important to our community and we support a number of national and international initiatives. Meetings are held regularly and dedicated committees are established throughout the year. Students are often directly involved and participate in all PTA projects.

Since 2015/16, the school and the PTA have been collaborating on an important new project, Sharing our vision: education for all.

Examples of previous PTA initiatives include the Rome IB Schools for Hunger Run, the Operation Smile Olympics and Rome Marathon.
