IB PRIMARY YEARS PROGRAMME
Ages 2 to 5
In our Early years department, play-based learning helps children develop their social, communication and cognitive skills. Play, as an act of inquiry, is driven by the children's need to understand the world around them. Our Early Years department follows the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, starting from age 3.
IB Primary Years Programme
Ages 5 to 11
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is recognised worldwide as one of the most advanced international programmes for elementary schools. Our students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 follow the PYP. The programme focuses on international mindedness and develops children’s academic, social and emotional well being.
Ages 11 to 14
Rome International School is an accredited Cambridge International School and examination centre. The Middle School curriculum integrates international best practice. It is formally assessed using Cambridge Checkpoint, a globally recognised benchmark.
Ages 14 to 16
The Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) for Grade 10 students presents thorough preparation for IB Diploma level study.
IB Diploma programme
Ages 16 to 18
The IB Diploma is a two-year curriculum leading to a qualification respected as a means to university entrance worldwide. It encourages students to become active, compassionate and reflective life-long learners and to develop attributes of the Learner Profile.
