CAS Activities
Here are some examples of CAS activities carried out by our students.
Creativity or Service Activities
Model United Nations
Our programs provide a diverse group of informed college/university students and faculty from all over the world a forum for addressing global concerns in a real world context. Our conferences foster global citizenship and address current world issues related to regional conflicts, peacekeeping, human rights, women and children, economic and social development, and the environment. We strive to provide students with a better understanding of the inner working of the UN and to foster skills in diplomacy and compromise (www.nmun.org/).
Themba Project
The Themba Development Project is a registered humanitarian-aid and development organization which works at a grass roots level to assist chronically poor people in South Africa and Lesotho. We use the model of community-led development and incorporate gender awareness into all of our projects. We are connected to people all over the world who help us to achieve our mandate (www.thembaproject.org).
