On Friday 16 June, Grade 6 had the opportunity to attend a Science lesson in the Middle and High School Chemistry laboratory. The students were taught about "Acids, Alkalis and Indicators" and they performed a practical experiment to test a variety of different substances using universal indicator and demonstrate their investigative skills. The class performed the experiments with a high level of skill and accuracy and achieved excellent results. Mr. Smullen then discussed the topic of "Enzymes" with the students and allowed them to perform the test for oxygen gas which involved re-lighting a splint on fire! We look forward to welcoming Grade 6 into the Middle School Science programme next year.
