Rome International School (RIS) has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced:

COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER/ICT STAFF MEMBER

In this position, you will be responsible for most of the general communication between the staff, the school’s students and their families, as well as the general public. It will be your responsibility to keep our community up to date on what is happening in the school, and to build and maintain our public image. Your duties will include co-ordinating the production of our weekly newsletter, creating advertising campaigns for both traditional and new media and maintaining our web site. You will also be running our monthly school magazine, together with a group of our students.

Excellent writing skills, good knowledge of desktop publishing software, new media and the Joomla content management system are advantageous. All our communications are in the English language.

Rome International School (owned by Luiss, a prestigious non-State University) prides itself on being a technically advanced school, operating on the cutting edge of where education meets modern technology.

To create a full-time position, we would be very pleased to find a candidate with strong ICT skills, capable of being part of a team that manages and maintains our network, hardware and software and giving support to our staff and students in using it.

A good knowledge of both the Windows and Macintosh operating systems and the Moodle virtual learning environment are advantageous.

Starting date: February 2012
Salary: competitive package.
