High School - Trips & Extra-curricular activities

A timetable of interesting and relevant trips for High School classes will be drawn up in the first week of term, ensuring that all students have their learning enhanced by at least one or two outings each term.

Some of these day trips will be an integral part of the required course work for the GCSE exams.

Residential trips will take place at different times of the year depending on the grade. Grade 11 visit London as part of their GCSE History course and leave at a time which fits in with course deadlines. Grade 10 and 12 visit other countries outside Italy whereas Grade 13 will be offered day trips only in their final year; due to time restrictions and pending exams.

Students will be offered the chance to get involved in a number of extra-curricular initiatives which will also help them to earn CAS points in Grades 12 and 13.

Extra languages and recuperation lessons of Maths and English are available after school through the Associazione RIS.

Music and Drama in High School

Grades 10 and 11 continue to study Music or Drama as part of the curriculum whereas Grades 12 and 13 have the possibility to get involved in a voluntary Drama club which culminates in a High School production in the Spring.

There is also a singing group offered to High School students only, at lunch times.
