| High School - Teacher/Parent communication |
|
Full written reports for High School students are given to parents three times per year; in mid- December, early April and the end of June (with the exception of Grade 13 whose final report will be in April.) Reports will contain attainment, effort and comportment grades as well as a full comment by every subject teacher and one by the form teacher teacher concerning personal and social skills. Full individual parent/teacher/student conferences will follow the first two reports. Moreover, teachers will make themselves available via email for quick messages, enquiries or simply reassurance. The Principal or didactic Vice-Principal should be contacted if parents require an urgent appointment with an individual subject teacher and the same procedure will be used if a teacher needs to meet urgently with a parent. The official school diary is an important tool of daily communication between school and family and should be checked frequently. A weekly newsletter is published on line every Friday and a RIS Report, the RIS school magazine, published at intervals, is also an important source of information. |
