Issue 330 A message from Mr Thompson Dear Parents,
Welcome back to the new academic year at Rome International School!
The first day back at school is always an emotional one for everybody and this year, it is even more so. A great deal of work has been done to get us to this point, and I would like to thank all those of you who have supported us in these unprecedented times.
It is of course imperative that each and every member of our school community plays their own part in keeping our school as safe as it possibly can be, and we can achieve this by following the rigorous protocols that you have received.
Maintaining social distancing, wearing a face mask and respecting the entry/exit times are all key elements that we need to continue to carry out.
In particular, we would like to ask for your continued support in ensuring that you do not exit your car to enter the building. Only Early Years Parents are allowed to use the car park on Level 3 and enter the building (1 parent per family). Please be reminded that Early Years and Elementary students do not need to bring a backpack. Thanks for your attention.
It has been a very positive start to the year, and if we all work together as a united team, many more positives will follow.
Please continue to read all email communications sent by the school. In next week's newsletter, we will introduce you to some of the new staff joining us this year and there will also be plenty of learning highlights from across the school. Until then, I hope you enjoy seeing what being back in class looked like for some of our students.
I wish you a restful weekend and look forward to seeing our students back on Monday morning.
